I'm pretty sure you would agree if I say battery life is the most critical feature in a mobile device, right? Either a laptop or cell phone requires a reliable battery in order to keep it functioning at maximum level. Or we can simply say that battery is the blood-life of a mobile device. But I see most people are still unsure how to take care of the battery properly. That's why they keep complaining their battery life is too short. Looking at this fact, I'm amused to provide some facts about cell phone batteries you should know:
1. Battery level drops faster in poor signal areas.
If you use your cell phone in poor signal recipient areas, it'll keep searching for good and stable signal. It drops your battery level significantly. So, if you are in such places it would be wise just to turn off your phone in order to save your battery consumption.
2. Vibration eats much of your battery life.
Though I admit vibration is very useful to use in a crowded place, but it consumes much of your battery level too. So, never turn on ringtone and vibration at the same time since it'll consume far more of your battery life. Vibration is also used in playing games hence try to turn it off and see the difference.
3. Battery hates excessive temperature.
Battery will be short-lived if you place it at either too cold or hot place. Never put your cell phone on the top of car dashboard, laptop, gaming console or directly on air conditioner flow direction.
4. Battery has limited numbers of charging cycle.
Therefore it's better to charge your battery only at low-battery (below 10%) level. Does it matter? Each time you charge the battery, it'll straightly be counted as 1 full charge regardless of how much the battery power left. Actually the more often you charge the battery, the nearer it is to death.
5. Bluetooth and Infrared consume battery even at idle
Though you are not using Bluetooth or infrared to transfer files, it still consumes your battery as long as it has been activated. So, never activate those features when you do not need it.
6. Display eats most of your battery life
Do you know that your phone display consumes most of battery life. Whether you are texting, calling, playing games, browsing; your screen are always on. Therefore it's not odd to hear a phone with larger screen should have shorter battery span as well. You should always decrease the brightness level and set the backlight to min duration (20 secs) so it will be off automatically.

BMW e46 2004 316ti AUX, need help!!?
I bought an aux cable to fit in to my car so I can use my mp3 player in my car but I am having problems. The cable is a genuine BMW part, part number 82 11 0 149 389. I have the standard BMW radio with tape and a 6 CD changer in the back. I connected it up using the instructions given but when I press the mode button the AUX never comes up on the display.
First I thought it the after mark Bluetooth kit stopping it working but I disconnected that and still no luck.
Now Iām thinking it maybe the CD changer, but it is a genuine BMW CD changer. or maybe a faulty cable???
Any help or suggestions would be grateful.
Hi Dan,
If you are happy to, contact me through my profile and let me have the last 7 digits of your chassis number. I would like to confirm the part is correct, and double check the BMW instructions.
The problem could be a few things, I have fitted a quite a few of these but need to check the exact kit first !!
Obviously it is difficult to help without seeing the car, but I will look into it tomorrow for you to see where you problem may lie. Hopefully I will be able to give you an answer, and get it working for you.
